Product Description

The Rugged Ridge 18050.82 is a heavy-duty crossover steering conversion kit for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ, 1984-2001 Cherokee XJ, 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee ZJ (4.0L only), and 1987-1992 Comanche MJ models with 2" to 4" of suspension lift. This kit replaces the factory bump-steer-prone inverted Y-type steering linkage with a crossover configuration that connects the drag link to the tie rod end at the wheel for improved steering geometry, better leverage, and greater highway stability. Built from 1-1/4" OD SAE 1018 DOM steel tubing with 1/4" wall thickness and no seams or welds, the kit delivers nearly 1-ton strength. Four heavy-duty 7/8" rod ends feature standard factory tapered ends that bolt directly to stock steering knuckles with no modifications.
