Product Description

The Rock Slide Engineering Gen III Step Slider Driver Side (BD-SS-302-JL4D) is the driver-side sub-part of the 3rd Generation Step Slider system, purpose-built for the 2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door. This generation features smart motor technology that eliminates the gas strut used in earlier designs, resulting in greater motor longevity and more consistent step deployment and retraction in cold weather conditions. The step deploys 12 inches below the slider body when the door opens, then automatically retracts flush when the door closes. An additional 2 inches of length has been added to the rear of the step compared to prior generations, providing improved access to the rear passenger doors.

The 10-gauge steel outer shell is acid-etched and finished in textured black powder coat for long-term corrosion resistance, while stainless steel and aluminum internals keep moving components rust-free. Installation is no-drill and uses the Wrangler's factory mounting points, and the standalone plug-and-play wire harness requires no splicing of the vehicle's electrical system, preserving the factory warranty.
