Product Description

The Rigid Industries 20252 is the D-Series PRO Spot LED Pod Light pair with Amber PRO lens - two 3" x 3" surface-mount pods equipped with Rigid's amber-tinted filter over their Hybrid Spot optics. While the standard D-Series PRO white spot pods (202813) deliver maximum raw lux output for clear nighttime conditions, the 20252 Amber PRO Edition is purpose-built for the specific challenge of off-road driving in dust, smoke, fog, and other airborne particle environments. The science behind the amber advantage is perceptual: amber light occupies a longer wavelength range (~580-620nm) that the human eye processes more efficiently in light-scattering conditions. White LED light scatters more visibly off suspended particles, creating backscatter glare that reduces effective visual range; amber suppresses this effect, reducing glare and improving contrast, definition, and perceived distance.

Each pod packs 4 LEDs in a compact 3" x 3" housing, producing 3,168 raw lumens at 30 watts through a narrow 18.8° x 17.2° spot beam. The amber output reaches 185.3 meters at 1 lux and 370.6 meters at 0.25 lux - meaningful range for forward trail lighting, ditch lights, and auxiliary road illumination at pace. The integrated heat sink within the alloy housing keeps LEDs thermally stable under sustained operation, while IP68 sealing and a Pressure Equalizing Vent ensure the housing remains fully sealed through the thermal expansion and contraction cycles that come with exposure to dust, heat, cold, and water crossings.
