Fitment Notes

• Designed specifically for trucks equipped with the Ridetech Wishbone rear suspension system.

• The existing Ridetech Wishbone must have provisions for the brace bars, including two mounting points on the front Wishbone mount and two mounting points on the front side of the shock crossmember.
• The front Wishbone pivot bolt must be vertical; applications with a horizontal pivot bolt are not compatible.
• Applies to 2WD configurations only; 4WD applications are not supported.
• The brace kit is an accessory to the Ridetech Wishbone system and is not a standalone rear suspension conversion.

Product Description

The Ridetech 11397299 V8 Wishbone Brace Kit is designed to provide additional rear suspension support for 1982-2003 Chevrolet S10, 1982-1990 GMC S15, 1991-2003 GMC Sonoma, and 1996-2000 Isuzu Hombre 2WD trucks equipped with the Ridetech Wishbone rear suspension system. Ridetech specifically developed this brace kit for higher-horsepower and V8-swapped applications where additional support around the OEM gas-tank crossmember is desirable.

The kit uses two adjustable brace bars with heim-joint ends to reinforce the rear suspension structure. It also includes an EVAP canister relocation bracket to accommodate the installation. The brace system is designed to work with Ridetech Wishbone configurations used with CoilOver or ShockWave air-suspension systems.

Compatibility depends on the existing Ridetech Wishbone hardware. The Wishbone must have the dedicated mounting provisions for the brace bars, and the front Wishbone pivot bolt must be positioned vertically. A Wishbone system with a horizontal pivot bolt does not support this brace kit. The 11397299 is therefore an upgrade component for an existing compatible Ridetech Wishbone system rather than a standalone suspension kit.
