The Ridetech 12104810 kit replaces the heavy steel leaf springs on a 1967-1970 Mustang with composite leafs paired to staggered-mounted HQ Series shocks, dropping the rear 2" while cutting unsprung weight by up to 70 lbs. The composite design resists rust and holds its form better than steel over time, while Delrin bushings cut down on stiction and spring wrap.

Staggered shock mounting - one shock ahead of the axle, one behind - specifically targets wheel hop under hard acceleration, and the rebound-adjustable HQ shocks let you tune ride feel to taste. It's a common upgrade for Mustang owners looking to improve rear-end control and stance without moving to a full 4-link conversion. Note this kit doesn't fit convertible models.
