Fitment Notes

• Sold as a ring and pinion gear set - master install kit (bearings and hardware) is not included and must be purchased separately
• Reverse rotation (high-pinion) Dana 30 only - the D30-410R is specifically engineered for the high-pinion Dana 30 used in YJ Wranglers, XJ Cherokees, and similar applications; do NOT use in standard-rotation (low-pinion) Dana 30 differentials. To identify: if the pinion is positioned above the centerline of the axle tubes, it is a high-pinion/reverse-rotation unit
• Carrier break at 3.55/3.73 ratio - the Dana 30 uses two different carrier sizes separated at 3.73. If your current gear ratio is 3.55 or numerically lower (3.07, 2.73, etc.), installing 4.10 gears requires a new low-ratio carrier in addition to the ring and pinion set. If your current ratio is 3.73 or numerically higher, the existing carrier is compatible
• This is the earlier-style reverse-rotation Dana 30 kit (YJ/XJ era) - for the 2007-2018 Wrangler JK and 2018+ Wrangler JL Dana 30, use D30JK-JL-410R instead
• Ring gear bolts not included - source separately (10 x 3/8" thread)

The Revolution Gear D30-410R is a 4.10 ratio ring and pinion gear set for the Dana 30 high-pinion (reverse-rotation) front differential used in 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJs, 1984-1999 Cherokee XJs, 1986-1992 Comanche MJs, and other classic Jeep applications. The high-pinion Dana 30 is one of the most regeared differentials in the Jeep world, and the 4.10 ratio is a natural upgrade for YJ and XJ owners running 31"-33" tires who want to restore proper power delivery, acceleration feel, and highway driving RPM that factory ratios lose when tire diameter increases.

Manufactured from 8620 case-hardening alloy steel and precision heat treated to OEM specifications, the D30-410R uses Revolution Gear's double and triple lapping process to achieve precise tooth contact patterns for quiet operation and long gear life. Note that the Dana 30 has a carrier break between 3.55 and 3.73: if your current ratio is 3.55 or numerically lower, installing 4.10 gears requires a new low-ratio carrier in addition to the ring and pinion set. A separate master install kit (bearings and hardware) is also required. For the newer JK/JL Wrangler Dana 30 (2007+), use the D30JK-JL-410R instead.
