The Rancho RS994012 is a semi-universal RS9000XL shock absorber, offering the same nine-position adjustable damping control found across Rancho's popular RS9000XL lineup, but sized and sold for custom builds and fabrication projects rather than a specific vehicle application. An easy-to-adjust knob lets you dial in damping and firmness for both on-road comfort and off-road control, right on the vehicle.

Now in its fourth generation, this version of the RS9000XL adds integrated bottom mounts for improved strength and a dual-component 2K paint finish for noticeably better chip resistance than earlier generations. The tri-tube body and nitrogen gas charge (45 or 60 PSI) work together to minimize air-to-oil mixture, reducing fade and foaming even under sustained hard use - making it well suited for stock or lifted trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps that tow, haul, or tackle rough terrain.
