Product Description

The Rancho RS55152 is an RS5000X series front shock absorber engineered for 1988-2000 Chevrolet and GMC K-Series trucks and SUVs running 1 to 2.5 inches of front lift, covering the K1500, K2500, full-size Blazer, K-Series Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon on the GMT400 platform. It is the lifted-application companion to the stock-height RS55150, sharing the same RS5000X technology but sized appropriately for the longer travel range required with modest lift kits. Rancho's Cross Tuned technology pairs a patented rebound valving system with an advanced compression phase to deliver improved handling and ride quality both on paved roads and off-road terrain.

Built with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, 35mm sintered iron piston, and double-welded mounting loops, the RS55152 is constructed to handle the demands of full-size GM truck platforms under lifted conditions. Nitrogen gas pressurization at 150 PSI suppresses damping fade and foaming, while all-weather fluid maintains consistent performance from -40°F to 248°F. Sold individually - order in pairs for a complete front axle replacement. Factory mounting bolts are reused; all bushings, washers, and nuts are included.
