The Rancho RS55150 is an RS5000X series front shock absorber covering a wide range of GM full-size trucks and SUVs from 1988 through 2005, including the Chevrolet K1500, K2500, K3500, Tahoe, Blazer, Astro, K-Series Suburban, GMC Yukon, K-Series Suburban, Safari, and the 1999-2000 Cadillac Escalade RWD. Built around Rancho's Cross Tuned technology, the RS5000X combines a patented rebound valving system with an advanced compression phase to deliver improved handling and ride quality on paved roads and off-road terrain alike. Progressive Engagement Valving smooths out initial low-speed impacts, making it an effective upgrade for daily driving, light hauling, and off-road use.

Constructed with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, 35mm sintered iron piston, and double-welded mounting loops, the RS55150 is built to withstand the demands of heavy-duty GM truck platforms. Nitrogen gas pressurization at 150 PSI suppresses damping fade and foaming, while all-weather fluid maintains consistent performance from -40°F to 248°F. Designed for stock-height applications, this shock is sold individually - order in pairs for a complete front axle replacement. All bushings, washers, and nuts are included; factory mounting bolts are reused.
