Product Description

The Rancho RS55166 RS5000X front shock absorber is engineered to enhance ride quality and handling on classic RWD Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs from the late 1980s through 2000. Built with Rancho's RS5000X progressive rebound and advanced compression valving technology, this gas-charged twin-tube design delivers smoother damping over a wide range of road surfaces, helping to improve comfort and vehicle control during daily driving or light trail use.

Designed as a direct replacement for worn or stock front shocks on C1500, C2500, C3500, Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon models with front coil suspension, the RS55166 installs easily using factory mounts. The shock includes a protective dust boot and rubber bushings for long-lasting performance. Slight trimming or grinding of the lower control arm may be required on some applications with 0" lift setups. Sold individually, this shock is ideal for restoring front suspension damping or refreshing older vehicles with reliable, confidence-inspiring performance.
