Product Description

The Rancho RS55039 is an RS5000X series front shock absorber covering a wide range of legacy Ford and Mazda trucks and SUVs from 1975 through 1997, including the Ford Ranger, Bronco II, Explorer, E-100/E-150 Econoline, and Mazda B-Series and Navajo. Built around Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology, the RS5000X pairs a patented rebound valving system with an advanced compression phase to deliver improved handling and ride quality across both paved and unpaved surfaces. Progressive Engagement Valving further smooths out low-speed impacts, making it a capable upgrade for daily driving, light off-road use, and everything in between.

Constructed with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, 35mm sintered iron piston, and double-welded mounting loops, the RS55039 is built for durability under load and repeated stress. Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI suppresses damping fade and foaming, while all-weather fluid maintains consistent performance from -40°F to 248°F. This shock is designed for stock to 1.5-inch lifted vehicles and is sold as a single unit - order in pairs for a complete front axle replacement. Factory mounting bolts are reused; all bushings, washers, and nuts are included.
