The Rancho RS55128 is a gas-charged RS5000X front shock absorber engineered to improve ride control, damping performance, and handling on classic SUVs and GM trucks. Built with Progressive Engagement Valving and a Tuned Compression Control Valve, it minimizes harsh impacts while maintaining stability through varied terrain. The nitro-carburized piston rod and large 35 mm bore deliver lasting strength and superior corrosion resistance.

RS55128 fits a wide range of front suspension applications - from Jeep Cherokee, Wagoneer, Comanche, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler/TJ models to Chevrolet and GMC C1500/C2500 pickups, Suburban SUVs, and Yukon vehicles spanning the late '80s through early 2000s. Designed for stock height or mild suspension setups, these shocks use original mounting configurations (stud upper and cross-pin lower) for straightforward installation with included protective boots and bushings.
