Product Description

The Rancho RS55222 is a performance-oriented RS5000X front shock absorber engineered to deliver reliable damping control and improved ride quality for a variety of classic trucks and SUVs. Its gas-charged twin-tube construction with Progressive Engagement valving helps smooth out bumps and road irregularities, offering a more controlled ride compared to worn original-equipment shocks. A nitro-carburized piston rod and full-displaced 35 mm bore add durability and consistent performance in varied driving conditions.

This shock fits front suspension applications on vehicles such as Chevrolet S10 and Blazer, GMC Sonoma and Jimmy, Ford Ranger, Mazda B-series trucks, and Isuzu Hombre in rear-wheel-drive layout, supporting stock height or up to 2" front lift setups. Designed as a direct OE-style replacement, the RS55222 is ideal for restoring suspension performance on daily drivers or light off-road projects. Sold individually, it's recommended to replace shocks in pairs for balanced handling and ride quality.
