The **Rancho RS55117** shock absorber is part of the high-performance **RS5000X™ series**, engineered to improve ride comfort and suspension control for classic Ford vehicles with **front suspension lift ranges from stock up to approximately 4"**. Featuring Rancho's Progressive Engagement valving and tuned compression control, this gas-charged twin-tube shock helps smooth out initial impacts and control suspension movement over rough terrain and road surfaces. The enlarged 2.25" body allows for greater fluid capacity, helping reduce heat-related performance fade and improve damping consistency.

Constructed with a nitro-carburized piston rod and protective accordion boot, the RS55117 resists corrosion and shields key shock components from dirt and debris, enhancing long-term durability.
