Product Description

The Rancho RS994066 is the 4th-generation RS9000XL rear shock absorber for 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL and JL Unlimited models running 2.0 to 4.0 inches of rear lift. As the direct successor to the legacy RS999066, this shock brings Rancho's latest engineering improvements - including integrated bottom mounts for added structural rigidity and a dual component 2K paint finish that outperforms the liquid metallic coating on previous generations for chip and corrosion resistance. The 9-position adjustable damping knob allows precise tuning from soft and forgiving to firm and controlled, making it equally capable on the daily commute as it is on the Rubicon or Moab trails.

The large tri-tube body holds more fluid for cooler, more consistent damping under heavy use, and the 18mm nitro-carburized piston rod is engineered to handle the repeated stress of trail obstacles, rocks, and ruts without corrosion or wear. The graphite-filled Fluon-banded piston keeps travel smooth across all 9 settings, and nitrogen gas pressurization prevents fade during long off-road runs or sustained towing. This shock is sold individually - two are required for a complete rear replacement.
