The Rancho RS55197 is an RS5000X series front shock absorber covering a wide range of Dodge and Ram heavy-duty trucks, including the 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 1994-1996 Dodge Ram 2500, 2014-2024 Ram 2500 (including the Power Wagon), and 2013-2024 Ram 3500. Designed for stock-height applications across both RWD and 4WD configurations, this shock delivers Rancho's Cross Tuned technology - combining a patented rebound valving system with an advanced compression phase to improve ride quality and handling on paved roads and off-road terrain alike.

Built with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod, 35mm sintered iron piston, and double-welded mounting loops, the RS55197 handles the demands of heavy-duty Ram truck platforms with confidence. Nitrogen gas pressurization at 150 PSI suppresses damping fade and foaming, while all-weather fluid maintains consistent performance across a wide temperature range.
