Fitment Notes

• Not compatible with Electronic Adjustable Suspension / Magnetic Ride Control (MRC / ZX3 ride control). The RS551830 replaces conventional passive struts only. Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models equipped with the optional Magnetic Ride Control or Electronic Adjustable Suspension system require a different part and are not compatible with this assembly. Confirm your vehicle's suspension option before ordering.
• Excludes Denali and High Country trim levels. These high-content trims use different front strut specifications and are not compatible with the RS551830.
• Excludes 1500HD and all Heavy-Duty models. This assembly is specific to the K1500/C1500 light-duty platform.
• The 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and 2019 Sierra 1500 Limited are carryover production units on the 2014-2018 platform (sold alongside the new T1 body style) - they are compatible because they share the identical front suspension architecture as the 2014-2018 generation.
• This is a complete loaded strut assembly - it includes the strut, application-specific coil spring, upper mounting plate, and all installation hardware. No spring compressor is required for installation. This is the primary installation advantage of the loaded design over a bare strut that requires disassembling the existing strut assembly with a spring compressor.
• This listing is for a single strut assembly. Two units are required to replace both front struts. The same part number (RS551830) fits both the driver side and passenger side positions.

The Rancho RS551830 is an RS5000X Loaded front strut and coil spring assembly for the 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (2WD and 4WD), plus the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and 2019 Sierra 1500 Limited on the carryover body style. It is a complete pre-assembled front strut replacement - strut, coil spring, upper mounting plate, isolators, boot, and all hardware arrive in a single unit ready for bolt-on installation without a spring compressor.

The loaded assembly design eliminates the most technically demanding step in strut service: disassembling the factory strut with a spring compressor, transferring the components, and reassembling at the correct spring preload. With the RS551830, the installer removes the old strut assembly as a unit and installs the new pre-assembled RS551830 in its place. The application-specific coil spring is pre-set to restore factory ride height precisely, and the included upper mounting plate ensures the entire strut stack - including the wear-prone upper mount bearing - is replaced at once.
