Product Description

The Radium 20-1828-00 is a universal fuel vent charcoal canister designed to trap unwanted fuel vapors escaping from a vented fuel tank or competition fuel cell. Installed in-line with the vent hose, it uses activated carbon to purify fuel odors before they reach open air - useful for eliminating the fuel smell that builds up when a car is stored in an enclosed garage or trailer.

Independent flow testing using a Radium dry break dump can showed a negligible pressure drop with the canister installed, so it does the job without restricting venting performance. It's rated to bring outlet gas content down to less than 50 ppm, and as the standard-size version, it holds five times more activated carbon than Radium's compact canister - meaning longer service intervals between recharges. Large 16AN ORB ports are included with two adapters down to 10AN ORB, giving you flexibility to match your existing vent line hardware, and the canister can be mounted in any orientation.

This canister is meant to pair with a Radium Fuel Cell Vent Kit as part of a complete vent system, and works with both EFI and carbureted setups. As with any fuel vent installation, the line must always terminate outside the vehicle, and a section of hose upstream of the canister should sit higher than the fuel filler to prevent fuel from reaching the carbon media.
