Compatibility

Fitment Notes

• Compact-size canister - holds less activated carbon than Radium's standard-size canister (20-1828-12), so may need more frequent servicing, but has a smaller footprint for tight mounting locations
• Designed for 3/4 in. fuel vent hose (high flow); a 1/2 in. hose version (20-1827-08) and a fitting-only 16AN ORB version (20-1827-00) are sold separately for other hose sizes

Product Description

The Radium 20-1827-12 is a compact fuel vent charcoal canister that filters odor and fuel vapor out of the tank vent line before it reaches atmosphere, built for setups using 3/4 in. vent hose. Testing at the vent outlet showed unfiltered fuel vapor maxing out a gas detector at over 10,000 ppm, while the canister brought that down to an undetectable level under 50 ppm - a meaningful difference for anyone dealing with fuel smell around a fuel cell or aftermarket tank.

Machined from anodized 6061 aluminum with a preassembled, vibratory-packed carbon core, it's built to hold up under vibration without shedding media into the vent line. Being the compact version, it trades some carbon capacity (and therefore service interval) for a smaller footprint - worth keeping in mind if you'd rather service less often, in which case Radium's standard-size canister holds roughly 5x more carbon.
