Fitment Notes

Product Description

The Radium Engineering 17-0048 is a kit of six hermetically sealed electrical bulkhead studs designed for passing high-current wiring through a panel, firewall, trunk floor, or fuel cell enclosure without exposing the interior to moisture, fuel vapor, or contaminants. Each stud is custom CNC-machined from 304 stainless steel and ships with a full complement of hardware: an insulating sleeve to prevent panel conduction and galvanic corrosion, two anodized aluminum top-locking nuts for vibration-resistant engagement, ring terminals for 10-12 AWG wire on both sides of the panel, a nylon acorn nut for exterior insulation, a sealing washer, and heat shrink. Installation requires only a 15/64 in. drilled hole (0.220 in.-0.234 in.) in a panel between 0.262 in. and 0.322 in. thick - no special tools or crimping fixtures beyond standard ring terminal tooling.

These studs are most commonly used with Radium Engineering fuel surge tanks and fuel cells, where external pump power feeds and sensor grounds must pass cleanly and safely through the tank or enclosure wall.
