Fitment Notes

• This lid is a direct replacement for the powder-coated aluminum lid included standard with the Radium RA-Series Spare Tire Fuel Cell. No modifications to the fuel cell enclosure are required.
• Reuse the original hardware included with the fuel cell for installation - no additional hardware required.
• If an FCST-X or other drop-in fuel pump assembly is currently installed in the fuel cell, reference the drop-in assembly's installation instructions before removing the lid. A new gasket (Radium P/N 18-0015) may be required upon reassembly.
• Check with your sanctioning body or racing organization to confirm that carbon fiber is an acceptable material for the fuel cell lid before purchasing.
• Sold individually - one lid per kit. The standard aluminum lid cannot be returned or exchanged after removal.

Product Description

The Radium Engineering 13-0411-01 is an optional dry carbon fiber lid upgrade for the Radium RA-Series Spare Tire Fuel Cell, designed to replace the standard powder-coated aluminum lid with a component that is 68% lighter without sacrificing structural integrity. Constructed from pre-impregnated dry carbon fiber in a 2x2 twill weave with 3K tow, this lid provides the same dimensional accuracy and bolt pattern as the factory aluminum lid, allowing it to install directly using the original hardware included with the fuel cell - no additional fasteners or modifications required. It is compatible with all Radium FCST-X and drop-in fuel pump assemblies that mount through the lid.

This lid is specific to the Radium RA-Series Spare Tire Cell and is not interchangeable with any other Radium fuel cell size or shape, nor with fuel cells from any other manufacturer. Before purchasing, verify with your sanctioning body or racing organization that carbon fiber is an approved material for the fuel cell lid in your class. When reinstalling after any service work, torque perimeter bolts to 6.8 Nm (60 in-lbs) using a 5/32 in. (4 mm) Allen wrench, and take care not to overtighten fasteners to avoid cracking the carbon resin. If an FCST-X assembly is installed, consult its separate instructions and have Radium P/N 18-0015 gasket on hand before disassembly. Sold individually; the standard aluminum lid is not returnable or exchangeable once removed.
