• Compatible with the OEM factory strut tower brace - no conflict with stock hardware
• Installs using existing upper strut mount studs - longer M8x1.25mm replacement studs are included to account for the added brace thickness
• No cutting, drilling, or permanent modification to the vehicle required

Product Description

The Radium Engineering 20-0844 is a direct bolt-in brake master cylinder brace for the 1998-2005 Mazda MX-5 Miata NB in left-hand drive, non-ABS configuration. When the brake pedal is depressed, the thin NB firewall deflects slightly under load, absorbing energy that should be converting to hydraulic pressure. The Radium brace installs on the front strut tower and braces the master cylinder against this flex - reducing measured deflection by 90% and delivering a firmer, more immediate pedal feel with no change to the vehicle's brake hardware.

The solid 1-piece stainless steel construction eliminates secondary flexing inherent in multi-piece designs. An adjustable aluminum preload bolt contacts the master cylinder body without risk of damage, and stainless steel jam nuts lock the setting permanently. The kit includes longer upper strut studs to compensate for the added brace thickness. Installation uses existing factory threaded locations and requires no cutting, drilling, or permanent modification.
