The QA1 DD401 is a Proma Star double-adjustable coilover shock built for custom chassis and suspension setups where a direct-fit coilover isn't available - whether you're building a hot rod, restomod, or one-off suspension design. With 324 external valving selections, it gives independent control over compression and rebound damping, letting you dial in exactly how the car rides and handles.

The shock uses an aluminum body with a twin-tube internal design for consistent, predictable damping, and bearing mounts at both the upper and lower ends to minimize deflection and tolerate slight misalignment in the mounting points. Its threaded body lets you adjust ride height quickly by turning the spring seat nut - a T114W or T115W spanner wrench (sold separately) makes this easier. At 10.125 in. collapsed and 14 in. extended, it pairs with a 2.5 in. I.D. spring in the 9-10 in. length range, which is sold separately so you can choose the exact rate for your build.
