Product Description

The QA1 GS401-10400C is a front Pro Coil single-adjustable coilover system sold as a matched pair, built to bolt directly in place of the factory front shock/spring setup on a range of GM A-Body, F-Body, X-Body, and S-Series platforms - as well as 1955-1957 Chevrolet sedans - using QA1's recommended small-block spring rate of 400 lb/in. It gives you 0 to 2 inches of ride height adjustment via the spring seat nut, so you can dial in stance without swapping components.

Each shock uses a lightweight billet aluminum body with 18-position single-adjustable valving, letting you simultaneously tune compression and rebound from a comfortable street ride to a firmer, more aggressive feel - accessible at the base of the shock with the wheel turned to full lock. The high-travel coil springs are engineered with fewer coils and a smaller wire diameter for increased suspension travel, and the whole system installs cleanly with either factory stamped-steel control arms or QA1's tubular control arms.

Because the 400 lb/in. rate is tuned for small-block, average front-end weight vehicles (roughly 1,801-1,900 lbs), it's a strong fit for street-driven muscle cars, S-Series trucks, and full-size GM sedans within that weight class; heavier big-block combinations should step up to a higher spring rate version of this same system.
