Fitment Notes

• Fits 1990-1993 Fox Body Mustang front suspension only - front coil-over strut kit only (does not include rear shocks).

Product Description

The QA1 HS02-12200 is a front Proma Star single-adjustable coil-over strut kit designed specifically for 1990-1993 Fox Body Ford Mustang LX and GT models. It replaces the factory MacPherson strut assembly with a performance inverted cartridge coil-over system, offering adjustable ride height and tunable rebound damping in a complete bolt-in package that works on both wide and narrow Fox Body spindles. The inverted cartridge design places the larger-diameter shaft at the top of the strut, where side loads are highest during cornering and braking, delivering more consistent and linear performance than conventional strut designs. The lightweight aluminum body reduces unsprung weight for faster, more responsive suspension movement.

The 18-position rebound adjustment knob sits at the top of each strut tower and is accessible under the hood without lifting the car - a significant convenience advantage for regular tuning between street and track settings. The 200 lb./in. street-tuned spring rate is QA1's recommended choice for stock-weight Fox Body Mustangs used primarily on the street with occasional track days. Ride height is adjustable 0-2 in. below stock via the threaded strut body. The included red anodized aluminum caster camber plates allow independent caster and camber correction after lowering, essential for proper tire wear and handling geometry on a lowered Fox Body.
