  • Ride height adjustability: 0.5 in. above stock to 2.25 in. below stock via the fully threaded aluminum shock body.
  • 150 lb./in. spring rate is the medium/street-oriented rate for this application. For a stiffer rate, order RCK52337 (175 lb./in.). For single-adjustable valving at the same 150 lb./in. rate, order RCK52340.
  • Bolt-in installation using specially designed USA-made mounting brackets - no cutting or welding required.
  • Sold as a pair - one kit covers both rear shocks and springs.

Features

  • Truly independent double-adjustable valving - 18 positions of rebound and 18 positions of compression on separate knobs, providing 324 total valving combinations for precise street and track tuning.
  • 0.5 in. above to 2.25 in. below stock ride height adjustability via the fully threaded aluminum shock body - adjust on the car without removal.
  • Bolt-in installation using specially designed USA-made mounting brackets - no cutting, welding, or fabrication required.
  • Lightweight billet aluminum shock body reduces unsprung weight for improved suspension responsiveness.
  • 150 lb./in. medium 12 in. coil springs matched to the shock for a complete, street-balanced rear coilover package.

Product Description

The QA1 RCK52336 is a bolt-in rear coil-over conversion kit for all 1964-1972 GM A-Body vehicles, including the Chevrolet Chevelle, El Camino, Monte Carlo, Pontiac GTO, LeMans, Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass, 442, Buick Skylark, Gran Sport, and GMC Sprint. It replaces the factory rear shock absorbers with a pair of double-adjustable billet aluminum coil-overs, 150 lb./in. springs, specially designed USA-made mounting brackets, and all required hardware - everything needed for a complete bolt-in installation with no cutting or welding required. The threaded aluminum shock body allows ride height adjustment from 0.5 in. above stock down to 2.25 in. below stock for stance and corner balance control.

The double-adjustable valving delivers 18 independent positions of both rebound and compression on separate external knobs, giving 324 total tuning combinations to dial in the suspension for street cruising, autocross, or road course use. The 150 lb./in. medium spring rate is QA1's street-oriented choice for the A-Body platform - for heavier builds or more aggressive driving, QA1 offers the 175 lb./in. version (RCK52337). Note that the lower shock mount bracket is designed for stock 10-bolt and 12-bolt GM A-Body axle housings and may not be compatible with all aftermarket rear end housings - verify before ordering. All shocks are dyno tested and serialized and are eligible for QA1's Limited Lifetime Warranty upon registration before installation.
