Fitment Notes

• 2WD applications only - not designed for 4WD (K10/K15) models
• Must use spindles compatible with 1973-1987 ball joints - 1963-1972 owners must upgrade spindles before installing this kit
• Not compatible with factory sway bars - sway bar must be removed or replaced with a QA1 compatible unit (sold separately)
• Compatible with popular drop spindles, which can provide an additional 2-3 in. of drop beyond the kit's standard range
• Adjustable ride height range: up to 5 in. drop when used with popular drop spindles
• Factory sway bar end links cannot be reused - verify sway bar compatibility before ordering

The QA1 52611-S850 is a complete bolt-in front coilover conversion system for the 1963-1987 Chevrolet C10 and GMC C15 2WD pickup, offering a comprehensive upgrade path for owners who want a properly lowered, properly handling classic truck without the expense or complexity of a full chassis swap or custom front end. The kit replaces the factory coil spring and shock absorber setup with QA1's Proma Star single-adjustable aluminum coilover shocks paired with 850 lb/in high-travel springs, delivering ride height adjustability, improved weight transfer management, and a firmer, more controlled front suspension feel suited to heavier builds, larger wheel and tire packages, and performance-oriented applications.

The included upper and lower tubular control arms - built from 12-gauge HSLA steel and powder coated black - add up to 7 degrees of caster when used together, fixing the negative geometry common in stock C10 front ends and delivering noticeably improved straight-line stability and steering return. QA1 performance ball joints and low-friction polymer bushings are pre-installed on all control arms. The system is compatible with popular drop spindles for additional stance, with a total possible drop of up to 5 inches. Note that spindles must be compatible with 1973-1987 ball joints, factory sway bars are not compatible and must be addressed separately, and 1963-1972 C10 owners will need to upgrade spindles prior to installation.
