Description

Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal - Compatible with any application using standard 2.5 in. I.D. coilover shocks/hardware

Fitment Notes

  • Sold individually; confirm your coilover shock body accepts a 10 in. free-length spring before ordering
  • Straight (non-tapered) spring with a flat upper grind - verify compatibility with tapered or barrel-style setups

Features

  • High-travel coil design allows greater suspension movement without risk of bottoming out
  • Linear spring rate holds constant through the full stroke for predictable handling
  • Chrome silicon alloy spring wire reduces unsprung weight versus standard coil springs
  • Fewer coils and smaller wire diameter increase usable travel between coils
  • Cold-wound, heat-treated, and shot-peened for improved fatigue life
  • Ground and squared ends for straight, consistent, accurate seating
  • Silver powder coat finish resists corrosion and marks free length/rate for easy identification
  • Suitable for racing, off-road, and high-performance street applications

Specifications

  • Free Length: 10 in.
  • Spring Rate: 450 lbs/in.
  • Upper Inside Diameter: 2-1/2 in.
  • Lower Inside Diameter: 2-1/2 in.

Product Description

The QA1 10HT450 is a 10-inch, 450 lb/in. high-travel coilover spring built for coilover systems using standard 2.5-inch I.D. hardware. Its high-travel design uses a smaller-diameter, high-tensile chrome silicon wire with fewer coils than a standard coil spring, spacing the coils farther apart so the spring can compress further before reaching coil-bind - giving you more usable suspension travel without bottoming out.

Because the spring rate is linear rather than progressive, it stays consistent throughout the entire stroke, so the suspension behaves the same way at the top of travel as it does deep into compression - a trait racers and street builders alike tend to prefer for predictability. The lightweight chrome silicon construction also helps cut unsprung weight, letting the suspension react faster over bumps and transitions.

Each spring is cold-wound, heat-treated, and shot-peened for long-term fatigue resistance, then ground square at both ends for accurate, consistent seating in the coilover perch. It's backed by QA1's lifetime warranty against free-height and rate deviation, and works well as a direct swap or upgrade spring for any 2.5 in. I.D. coilover shock - front or rear, street or track.
