Product Description

The Prothane 4-213-BL is a polyurethane front control arm bushing kit for the 1997-2003 Dodge Dakota 4WD. The kit replaces the factory rubber upper and lower front control arm bushings with Prothane's premium polyurethane components, restoring tight suspension geometry and proper caster and camber alignment that deteriorates as OEM rubber bushings wear and deform. The bushings are supplied without outer shells -- the original factory shells pressed into the control arms are retained, and the new polyurethane inserts are installed inside them. The black formula includes graphite impregnation for additional self-lubricating properties. Prothane Super Grease is included and must be applied during installation to ensure quiet, squeak-free operation. Polyurethane offers significantly greater resistance to compression set, oil, chemicals, and road contaminants compared to factory rubber, delivering longer service life and more consistent handling. The 4-213-BL is designed exclusively for 4WD Dakota models; 2WD Dakota owners should use Prothane 4-212-BL. Also available in red under part number 4-213.
