Product Description

The Prothane 1-2005 is a complete red polyurethane total bushing kit built specifically for the 1987-1996 Jeep Wrangler YJ across all trim levels, engine options, and drivetrain configurations. It replaces all major rubber bushings in the suspension and chassis - covering body mounts, front and rear leaf spring eyes and shackles, front and rear track arm (track bar) bushings, and tie rod end boots - delivering a comprehensive suspension refresh in a single purchase.

The YJ Wrangler's leaf spring suspension and solid axle geometry is particularly sensitive to bushing condition. Worn rubber at the spring eyes, shackles, and track arms allows axle movement that throws off alignment and contributes to the steering wander and shimmy that aging YJs commonly develop. Prothane's polyurethane is far more resistant to deformation, road grime, and the UV and ozone exposure these open-air vehicles face. Motor and transmission mounts are not included and should be ordered separately if needed.
