The Prothane 7-228-BL is a complete front control arm bushing kit for 1984-1996 Chevrolet Corvette C4 models, replacing all four OEM rubber bushings - both upper and lower - on the front axle with precision-molded black polyurethane. The factory rubber bushings in the C4's front suspension are prone to cracking, compressing, and deteriorating with age and heat exposure, leading to vague steering feel, unwanted caster and camber drift, and increased vibration through the steering column. Prothane's polyurethane compound is substantially firmer and more chemically resistant than rubber, restoring and improving front suspension accuracy without the harshness penalty of solid metal bushings.

By eliminating compliance in the front control arm pivot points, these bushings lock in alignment geometry more precisely during cornering, braking, and acceleration loads.
