Product Description

The Prothane 1-2003 is a complete red polyurethane total bushing kit built specifically for the 1980-1986 Jeep CJ5, CJ7, and CJ8 Scrambler. It covers all major suspension pivot points and mount positions - leaf spring eyes and shackles front and rear, front sway bar and end links, body mounts, torque arm bushings, and tie rod end boots - replacing every factory rubber bushing in the chassis with a matched set of polyurethane components engineered for the CJ platform's solid-axle suspension design.

The CJ series is especially prone to suspension slop and alignment wander from deteriorated rubber bushings given its age and typical off-road use. Prothane's polyurethane is resistant to the mud, water, trail debris, and UV exposure that rapidly degrade rubber on these vehicles. The torque arm bushings in particular provide a meaningful improvement in drivetrain stability for CJ owners using their rigs off-road or on lifted suspension builds. Motor and transmission mounts are not included in this kit and must be ordered separately if needed.
