The Prothane 7-242-BL is a front control arm bushing kit engineered for the 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X, Isuzu Ascender, and Oldsmobile Bravada - all sharing the GMT360 platform. It covers both the upper and lower front control arm bushing inserts on both the left and right sides, replacing all four positions in a single kit without requiring replacement of the OEM outer metal shells. This is the correct approach for these vehicles as the shells press into the control arm and are typically reused during a bushing refresh.

Worn OEM rubber at the front control arm positions allows the arm to shift under cornering load, causing caster and camber to drift mid-corner, contributing to tire wear and imprecise steering feel. Prothane's polyurethane holds the control arm in alignment geometry far more consistently than rubber, with improved resistance to the heat, road grime, and UV exposure that these vehicles commonly encounter. Super Grease is included and must be applied generously during installation to prevent squeaking.
