Product Description

The Project Mu PSF506 Type NS is a street-focused front brake pad engineered for the 2002-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer FWD. The Hyper Carbon NS compound was developed to guarantee strong initial bite and consistent stopping power from cold, making it ideal for everyday street driving where the brakes are rarely warmed up before use. The asbestos-free formulation of organics, resins, fiberglass, and ceramics keeps brake dust and squeal to a minimum while remaining gentle on rotors - extending the life of both the pads and discs compared to more aggressive compounds.

Type NS pads are a direct upgrade over OEM brake pads and are rated for rotor temperatures up to 400°C - sufficient for spirited street use but not designed for sustained track sessions. For EVO 8/9 or other F506-caliper applications, Project Mu offers separate pad compounds including the PHF506 (HC+) and PBF506 (B-Force).
