Vehicle Fitment

  • 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 (All Trims - Base Coupe, Base Convertible, Z06, RWD)
  • 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 (All Trims - Base Coupe, Base Convertible, Z06, Grand Sport, ZR1, RWD)

Fitment Notes

  • This system is designed for use with the cast aluminum OEM end links only - the composite-type OEM end links are NOT compatible and must be replaced before installation
  • End links are NOT included in this kit - cast aluminum OEM end links must be in place, or an aftermarket replacement must be sourced separately
  • For aggressive track day and autocross use, Progress offers an optional Teflon-lined spherical bearing adjustable end-link upgrade (Progress PN #65.0480 / 67.50.0480), sold separately
  • Front bar is non-adjustable (fixed rate); rear bar features 3-hole adjustment for rate tuning
  • Some C6 muffler configurations may require minor clearance adjustments to accommodate the rear sway bar - verify clearance prior to final installation torque
  • A professional four-wheel alignment is recommended after installation

Features

  • 35mm tubular alloy steel front bar delivers a fixed rate of 625 lbs/inch - a substantial increase over the OEM front bar, dramatically reducing front body roll and sharpening steering response
  • 25mm tubular alloy steel rear bar features 3-hole adjustment, providing soft (408 lbs/in), middle (480 lbs/in), and firm (552 lbs/in) settings for precise rear chassis balance tuning
  • Tubular construction on both bars provides the necessary rate with less rotational mass than equivalent solid bars of the same stiffness - improving suspension dynamics without added unsprung weight
  • Both bars are CNC-bent from alloy steel tubing with laser-cut ends MIG-welded in fixture-controlled jigs for exact dimensional accuracy and a precise bolt-on fit on the C5/C6 chassis
  • Polyurethane bushings replace OEM rubber for immediate, low-deflection sway bar response and reduced compliance under load
  • Allows independent front and rear rate tuning - pair the non-adjustable front with the 3-position rear to find the optimal chassis balance for street, autocross, or track day use
  • Compatible with Progress's optional Teflon-lined spherical bearing end-link upgrade (PN #65.0480/67.50.0480) for corner-balancing and pre-load adjustment in track environments
  • Metallic gray powder coat on bars and brackets for long-term corrosion resistance and a clean appearance
  • Designed and manufactured in-house in the USA by Progress Technology

Product Description

The Progress Tech 63.0480 is a front and rear tubular anti-sway bar kit engineered for the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 and 2005-2013 Corvette C6 across all trims. This system pairs a fixed-rate 35mm tubular front bar at 625 lbs/inch with a 3-position adjustable 25mm tubular rear bar ranging from 408 to 552 lbs/inch - giving drivers a complete front-to-rear roll stiffness upgrade with the ability to fine-tune rear chassis balance independently. Tubular construction is used on both bars to maximize rate relative to weight, delivering the torsional stiffness of much heavier solid bars without the rotational mass penalty - a meaningful advantage on a performance platform like the C5/C6 chassis.

The front bar's fixed 625 lbs/inch rate provides immediate, consistent roll control that sharpens front-end response and reduces the soft, wallowy feel that even the OEM Corvette suspension can exhibit under sustained lateral load. The rear bar's three adjustment positions allow the driver to dial in understeer-oversteer balance for their specific use - soft for daily commuting or wet weather, middle for spirited street driving, and firm for track days or autocross where maximum cornering power and chassis neutrality are the goal. Both bars are cold-formed using Progress Technology's precision CNC bending equipment and MIG-welded in fixture-controlled jigs to ensure dimensional accuracy and a correct bolt-on fit on both C5 and C6 chassis variants.

A critical installation note: this system is designed to work exclusively with the cast aluminum OEM Corvette end links. The composite-type OEM end links are not structurally adequate for use with this sway bar system and must be replaced before installation. End links are not included in the kit. For aggressive track day, autocross, or corner-balancing applications, Progress Technology offers an optional Teflon-lined spherical bearing adjustable end-link upgrade (PN #65.0480 / 67.50.0480) that allows precise pre-load and length adjustment. All bars ship in Progress's signature metallic gray powder coat and are backed by a 1-year limited warranty. A four-wheel alignment is recommended following installation.
