Product Description

The PERRIN PHP-INR-018 Shifter Cable Lock is a CNC-machined aluminum fix for the 10th Generation Honda Civic's inherent shift cable slop. The factory shift cable housing on the Civic Si and Type R is not firmly secured at the mount point, causing a noticeable double-clunk every time the driver shifts into 2nd, 4th, or 6th gear. This issue becomes even more pronounced when aftermarket short shifters or adapters are installed. The PHP-INR-018 clamps directly around the shifter cable housing, compressing it against the cable mount and locking out all lateral movement.

The lockdown's extended shaft works in conjunction with included tension bands to eliminate residual vibration between the cable and its sleeve, resulting in a noticeably more direct and mechanical shift feel. Installation takes approximately 30 minutes with basic hand tools and requires no permanent modifications.
