Product Description

The PERRIN PSP-BRK-406BK Master Cylinder Brace is a direct bolt-on upgrade for the Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, Toyota 86, and Toyota GR86 that eliminates the firewall flex responsible for spongy, inconsistent brake pedal feel. The factory setup bolts the master cylinder and brake booster to thin sheet metal that cannot resist the pendulum-like motion caused by repeated brake application - over time, this also leads to fatigue and potential failure of the mounting area. The PERRIN brace spans from the master cylinder to the driver-side shock tower, creating a rigid triangulated connection across three separate mounting planes that transfers braking load directly into the solid chassis structure.

Constructed from a combination of CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum and CNC formed steel, the brace is both extremely stiff and lightweight - avoiding the weight penalty of an all-steel welded design. The improvement in pedal feel is immediately noticeable even at normal road speeds, not just during aggressive braking on track.
