The PERRIN PSP-BRK-402RD Master Cylinder Brace is a precision-engineered firewall stiffener designed for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX and Legacy/Outback XT sharing the same chassis. The thin sheet metal firewall on these Subarus flexes noticeably under hard braking, absorbing pedal input and giving the driver a spongy, inconsistent brake feel. The PERRIN brace bridges the master cylinder, firewall, and shock tower with three triangulated mounting points - eliminating flex in multiple planes simultaneously and restoring a firm, direct pedal feel that can be noticed immediately after installation, even during routine street braking.

Built from CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum paired with a CNC-formed steel bracket - rather than welded steel tubing - the two-piece construction keeps the brace exceptionally stiff and light. An adjustable preload screw allows the driver to apply tension directly to the master cylinder for a custom, rattle-free fit.
