Fitment Notes

• Rear position only - 2 springs required per vehicle (sold individually).

• Not a lowering spring - this spring raises the rear of the vehicle slightly above standard height for drag racing applications.

Product Description

The Pedders PED-2589 SportsRyder Rear Coil Spring is a purpose-built drag-spec replacement spring for the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO. Unlike lowering springs, this spring is engineered to raise the rear to the FE2 suspension height, promoting optimal rear squat and weight transfer during hard launches. The progressive spring rate delivers a firm initial feel that stiffens progressively under load - exactly what's needed when leaving the line hard on a drag strip.

Each spring is CNC-wound, oil bath quenched, shot-peened, and scragged to permanently set ride height, eliminating post-install settling. Built to ISO 9001 standards with a height tolerance of +/-2mm at loaded specification, these are a direct drop-in replacement requiring no modifications. Two springs are required per vehicle and are sold individually.
