Product Description

The OMP KS-1 Pro (KK0-0049-B01-178-M) is a professional-grade karting body protector built to meet the current FIA 8870-2018 homologation standard, now mandated for FIA-sanctioned karting events. Its resistant polycarbonate outer shell pairs with an inner lining of nitrile rubber and shockproof memory foam to absorb and dissipate impact energy, delivering comprehensive protection across the ribs, chest, and back.

An exclusive auto-adjustable fitting system, combined with adjustable Velcro shoulder and lateral straps, allows the protector to be dialed in for a secure, consistent fit without sacrificing comfort. The shaped front shield is designed to balance maximum protection with everyday wearability, making the KS-1 Pro suitable for extended race sessions as well as competition use.

This size M unit is homologated for drivers between 152-170 cm in height with a 69.5-80 cm chest circumference. Drivers who fall within this height range but need additional chest room should consider the M-Wide variant instead. As with all body protection equipment, correct sizing is critical to safety performance - drivers should confirm their measurements against OMP's size chart before purchase, and an optional 6mm padding kit is available separately for a more tailored fit on slimmer builds.
