The NGK 93231 (PZKER7B8EGS) is the OEM-grade Laser Platinum spark plug for Volkswagen Group vehicles equipped with the EA211 1.2 TSI and 1.4 TSI/TFSI engine family on the MQB platform. It replaces OEM VAG part numbers 04E 905 601 and 04E 905 601 B, and supersedes the earlier NGK part number PZKER7A8EGS (94968). Four plugs are required per vehicle.

Featuring laser-welded platinum on both the center and ground electrodes, this plug delivers excellent longevity and stable combustion - making it equally suited to stock vehicles and Stage 1 tuned applications. Buyers must verify their specific engine code before purchasing, as the EA211 platform spans several variants (including the 1.5 TSI EVO) that require different plugs entirely. This plug is not compatible with EA111, EA113, EA211 EVO, or EA888 engines.
