The NGK 90992 (SILMAR8A9S) is a Laser Iridium High Ignitability spark plug and the factory OE-specified plug for Honda's modern parallel-twin powersports platforms. It covers the Africa Twin CRF1000L and CRF1100L adventure bikes, the Rebel 1100 and Rebel 1100T cruisers, the NT1100 sport-tourer, the Talon 1000 SxS lineup, and the newer CB750 Hornet and Transalp 750 motorcycles. The dual precious metal construction - iridium center electrode and square platinum (SPE) ground electrode - is specifically engineered for the high-heat, sustained high-RPM demands of Honda's Unicam parallel-twin engine family.

Note the unique 10mm thread diameter and extended 26.5mm reach, which are specific to this Honda engine family and require a 14mm hex for installation. These specs differ significantly from standard automotive plugs and are not interchangeable.
