• On dual-cylinder KTM 1050, 1090, and 1290 models, this plug fits the OUTER cylinder only - the inner cylinder requires NGK LKAR9BI-10 (sold separately)

• Husqvarna 701 Euro 4 variants (2016+) use this plug as the outer cylinder plug; pre-Euro 4 models use a different plug

The NGK 96956 (LMAR7DI-10) is a Laser Iridium spark plug engineered for KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles equipped with LC8 parallel-twin and single-cylinder LC4 engines. On twin-cylinder models such as the 1050 Adventure, 1090 Adventure R, 1290 Super Adventure, and 1290 Super Duke R/GT, this plug is the OEM-specified outer cylinder plug, replacing KTM part number 60439094000. The fine-wire iridium center electrode delivers a highly focused spark with minimal voltage loss, while the platinum ground electrode resists erosion to maintain consistent performance over extended service intervals.

Built to NGK's OEM ignition standards, the 96956 features laser-welded electrode construction, a corrugated alumina ceramic insulator to prevent flashover, and trivalent metal shell plating for easy, corrosion-free removal. It installs directly in place of the factory plug without modification. Single-cylinder applications including the KTM 690 Duke and 690 Enduro R require one plug per engine, while all twin-cylinder models require two plugs per engine - this plug for the outer position and LKAR9BI-10 for the inner.
