Fitment Notes

• Hyundai Elantra automotive applications use a pre-set gap of 0.032 in. - do not install at the Ski-Doo gap
• Ski-Doo powersports applications are turbocharged and use a tighter pre-set gap of 0.028 in. - verify gap before installation
• Quantity required: 4 plugs per Hyundai Elantra; 2 plugs per Ski-Doo snowmobile (2-cylinder Rotax 850 engine)
• This plug is also used as a 1-step colder aftermarket upgrade for Hyundai N-performance models (Veloster N, Kona N, Elantra N) - those are not OEM fitment applications and require gap verification

The NGK 97312 (ILKR9Q7G) is a Laser Iridium spark plug covering both automotive and powersports applications. For automotive use, it is the OE-equivalent fitment for the 2017-2020 Hyundai Elantra in both 1.4L turbocharged and 2.0L naturally aspirated configurations. For powersports, it is the OEM-specified plug for the 2021-2022 Ski-Doo Freeride and Summit X snowmobiles equipped with the Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo engine - a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, turbocharged powerplant that operates under extreme thermal and pressure conditions. The fine wire iridium center electrode and platinum-tipped ground electrode deliver consistent ignitability and durability across both application types.

This plug is also widely used in the Hyundai N-performance community as a 1-step colder upgrade plug for modified or high-boost applications in models such as the Veloster N, Kona N, and Elantra N, where the higher heat range 9 rating provides better thermal headroom.
