• Does not fit the Subaru WRX STI - that model uses the EJ257 engine and a different plug

• Pre-gapped at 0.024" (0.6mm); always verify gap before installation - some sources note plugs may arrive at 0.027"

Product Description

The NGK 96024 (ILKAR8H6) is the OEM-specified Laser Iridium spark plug for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and 2014-2018 Subaru Forester XT (2.0XT), both powered by Subaru's FA20DIT 2.0L direct-injection turbocharged boxer engine. It replaces OEM Subaru part number 22401AA830. Four plugs are required per vehicle.

The tight 0.024" factory gap is specific to the FA20DIT's high-compression direct-injection combustion chamber and should always be verified before installation. Buyers should confirm their Forester is the turbocharged XT variant - the naturally aspirated Forester 2.5i uses the FB25 engine and a different plug entirely. The 2022+ WRX (FA24F engine) and the WRX STI (EJ257 engine) are also incompatible with this plug.
