The NGK 9723 (SILZKR7B11) is a Laser Iridium High Ignitability spark plug covering one of the widest application ranges in the NGK catalog - spanning Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Kia vehicles across both V6 and L4 engine families. It is the OEM-specified plug for FCA's 3.6L Pentastar V6 used across platforms including the Dodge Charger, Challenger, Ram 1500, Jeep Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee, and serves as the factory-matched plug for several Hyundai and Kia L4 engines. The 0.6mm laser-welded iridium center electrode delivers a highly concentrated spark, while the Square Platinum Electrode (SPE) ground tip maintains ignitability over extended service intervals of up to 100,000 miles on compatible applications.

Built to OEM standards with a 5,000Ω resistor for ignition noise suppression and a pre-set gap of 0.044 in., this plug installs directly in place of the factory spark plug without modification. The trivalent shell plating ensures clean removal at service time, while the triple-seal body prevents combustion leakage. Six plugs are required for V6 applications; four for L4 applications.
