The Moroso 21172 is a shallow-sump, road race-baffled aluminum oil pan engineered for GM LS engines in C6 Corvette applications and Mazda Miata LS swap builds where ground clearance is a critical constraint. At 4.875 in. deep, its dimensions closely mirror the OEM C6 Corvette oil pan profile, making it a natural upgrade path for Corvette track-day drivers and the preferred solution for LS Miata builders who can't run a deep-sump pan without risking ground strikes. The pan holds 6 quarts (plus filter) - more than the factory unit - while keeping the lowest point of the drivetrain at the same height.

Inside, the diamond-shaped four trap-door assembly combined with the anti-slosh baffle ensures oil stays at the pickup under sustained high-lateral-G cornering, hard braking, and acceleration loads encountered in road racing and track use. The billet aluminum spin-on filter adapter locates the oil filter in the stock position, eliminating the need for a remote filter setup. Moroso pickup PN: 24172 is required for installation and must be ordered separately. For best results, pair with the Moroso PN: 38542 mounting hardware kit and a Moroso PN: 22463 oil filter.
