The Mishimoto MMDCC-40HBK is a 4.0-inch straight hump DuraCore™ silicone intercooler boot designed for custom charge pipe and intercooler builds that require in-line flexibility at large pipe diameters without changing direction or size. The hump profile is engineered to absorb vibration, thermal expansion, and minor axial movement between connected components - reducing stress on pipe joints and preventing the fatigue-related seal failures that rigid flat boots are susceptible to in high-vibration, high-boost environments.

Built from five layers of silicone reinforced with heat-resistant embedded fibers and lined internally with DuraCore™ synthetic material, this boot handles heat, pressure, fuel, and oil exposure far better than standard silicone alone. Reinforcing rings at each clamping zone keep the boot locked rigid at connection points even under sustained boost load.
