Vehicle Fitment

  • 1999-2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty (7.3L Powerstroke, 4WD)
  • 1999-2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty (7.3L Powerstroke, 4WD)
  • 1999-2003 Ford F-450 Super Duty (7.3L Powerstroke, 4WD)
  • 1999-2003 Ford F-550 Super Duty (7.3L Powerstroke, 4WD)
  • 2000-2003 Ford Excursion (7.3L Powerstroke, 4WD)

Fitment Notes

  • This is the full intercooler pipe and boot kit covering both the hot-side and cold-side intercooler pipes. Owners replacing boots only (retaining factory pipes) should see the Mishimoto Factory-Fit Boot Kit for the 7.3L Powerstroke (MMBK-F2D-99BK).
  • This is the wrinkle-black powder-coated finish. The polished aluminum finish variant is sold as MMICP-F2D-99KP.
  • Clamp torque specification: 27 in-lbs (3 N·m) recommended; operating range 18-35 in-lbs (2-4 N·m). Do not exceed 35 in-lbs (4 N·m).
  • Pairs with the Mishimoto 7.3L Powerstroke Performance Intercooler (MMINT-F2D-99) for a complete charge air system upgrade. The full intercooler kit (MMINT-F2D-99KSLP) is also available with the intercooler and pipe kit bundled together.
  • Installation is rated Medium difficulty and is estimated to take under one hour.

Features

  • Complete hot-side and cold-side intercooler pipe and boot kit engineered as a direct replacement for the 1999-2003 Ford F-Series Super Duty and Excursion with the 7.3L Powerstroke - replaces the aging factory rubber boots and stock piping with mandrel-bent aluminum pipes and DuraCore silicone boots for maximum durability and consistent boost retention.
  • Mandrel-bent aluminum pipe construction eliminates the restrictive bends inherent in the factory system, providing a smoother and more consistent charge air path from the turbocharger through the intercooler and into the intake manifold, with improvements in airflow, power output, and exhaust gas temperatures.
  • Wrinkle-black powder-coated finish provides a durable, heat-resistant surface that resists chipping and fading under under-hood conditions - a bold, purpose-built aesthetic that stands out in the engine bay of any 7.3L Super Duty or Excursion.
  • Four silicone boots with DuraCore Technology - Mishimoto's proprietary synthetic innermost layer that provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, diesel fuel vapors, and oil contamination versus standard silicone, preventing the delamination and blowoff failures that occur in aging original boots.
  • Eight constant-tension T-bolt clamps provide uniform, circumferential clamping force at every boot interface, maintaining a secure seal through the pressure and temperature cycles of sustained diesel operation without requiring periodic re-tightening.
  • Complete kit installation is estimated at under one hour - includes all hardware required to replace both sides of the intercooler piping system in a single service event.
  • Backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Product Description

The Mishimoto MMICP-F2D-99KWBK is a direct-fit intercooler pipe and boot kit engineered for the 1999-2003 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty, and the 2000-2003 Ford Excursion, all equipped with the 7.3L Powerstroke turbocharged diesel engine. Over 700,000 7.3L Powerstroke-powered Fords remain in service today - a testament to the engine's legendary durability - but the intercooling system on these trucks is now 20+ years old. The original rubber boots that connect the intercooler pipes to the turbocharger and intake manifold are a known weakness: decades of heat cycling, boost pressure, diesel fuel vapor exposure, and oil contamination cause them to crack, stiffen, pull away from their seating surfaces, and eventually blow off under boost. A leaking boost connection robs power, elevates exhaust gas temperatures, and in sustained operation can cause accelerated wear to the engine and turbocharger.

This kit replaces the entire intercooler piping system - both hot-side and cold-side - with mandrel-bent 3.0-inch aluminum pipes in a wrinkle-black powder-coated finish, along with four DuraCore silicone boots and eight constant-tension T-bolt clamps. Mandrel bending preserves a consistent bore diameter through every bend in the pipe, eliminating the cross-sectional distortion created by press bending that introduces turbulence and restriction into the charge air path. The result is smoother, higher-volume airflow through the intercooling circuit with reduced restriction compared to the factory system. The wrinkle-black powder coat provides a durable, heat-resistant finish that holds up to the thermal environment in a 7.3L engine bay without the maintenance concerns of a bare polished surface. The polished variant (MMICP-F2D-99KP) is available for owners preferring that finish.

All four boots are constructed with Mishimoto's DuraCore Technology - a proprietary synthetic innermost layer that resists heat, pressure, diesel fuel vapors, and oil contamination far more effectively than standard silicone, permanently eliminating the leak and blowoff failure modes of the original rubber boots. The eight constant-tension T-bolt clamps provide uniform clamping force around the full circumference of each boot connection without requiring periodic re-tightening as temperatures cycle. Installation covers both sides of the intercooler circuit and is estimated at under one hour. Pairs directly with the Mishimoto 7.3L Powerstroke Performance Intercooler (MMINT-F2D-99) for a complete charge air cooling system overhaul. Covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
