The Mishimoto MMTS-CIV-92L Low-Temperature Racing Thermostat is a performance-oriented replacement thermostat engineered to open at a lower temperature than the factory unit, allowing coolant to begin circulating sooner and helping reduce peak engine temperatures. This lowers overall engine heat load, improving thermal stability under high-performance driving and extended high RPM operation - especially useful with modified engines and upgraded cooling systems.

Designed for a range of Honda vehicles - most notably the 1984-2002 Honda Civic - this thermostat can also fit many related Hondas and Acuras with compatible 4-cylinder engines when the housing and coolant pathways match.
